A subfield of computer science called artificial intelligence (AI) focuses on the development of intelligent agents, or autonomous reasoning, learning, and acting systems. AI research has had great success in creating efficient methods for addressing a variety of issues, from game play to medical diagnosis.

Although there are several varieties of AI, they may all be roughly divided into two major groups:

Reactive machines: These AI systems are only capable of reacting to their immediate surroundings. They lack memory and the capacity to draw lessons from the past.
These artificial intelligence systems are capable of learning from their mistakes and progressively enhancing their performance. To do this, they frequently employ machine-learning techniques.
